Privacy policy
Last updated 30 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information we collect through our websites, why we use it and the rights you have. We are the data controller for this information under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
This website is operated by Diamond Product Design Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in Scotland (company number SC807700) with its registered office at 2 Napier Way, Wardpark North, Cumbernauld, G68 0EH, Scotland. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (reference ZB974397). Our sites include diamondproductdesign.co.uk and our specialist brands Diamond MedTech, Diamond VetTech, Diamond AgriTech, Diamond FabriTech. You can contact us at Email us.
What we collect
- Enquiries. When you send an enquiry through our contact form, or email us directly, we receive your name, email address, company (if given) and whatever you include in your message. Form enquiries are checked for spam and then emailed to us through Cloudflare; the website itself doesn’t keep a copy. To prevent abuse, your IP address is used briefly to limit how many enquiries can be sent in a short time, and the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks technical signals from your browser to confirm a person is using it.
- Meetings. Meetings are booked through Google Calendar appointment scheduling. Google collects the details you enter (such as your name, email address and chosen time) and shares them with us so we can hold the meeting.
- Analytics (only if you accept). With your consent we use Google Analytics to see how our sites are used: pages visited, time spent, the site or search that referred you, your device type, browser, language and approximate location (town or country level). This does not tell us who you are.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to deliver the site and protect it against abuse.
How and why we use it
- To reply to enquiries, arrange meetings and prepare proposals, because it is in our legitimate interests to respond to people who contact us, or because you have asked us to take steps before entering into a contract.
- To understand and improve our websites, with your consent (analytics).
- To keep our websites secure and working, in our legitimate interests.
- To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations where we go on to work together.
We do not sell your information or use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
We only share personal information with service providers who help us run our business and websites: Google (analytics, appointment booking, maps and fonts), Cloudflare (hosting and security) and our email provider. We may also share it with professional advisers, or where the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations (including the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t lead to a project: up to 2 years.
- Client and project records: 6 years after the project ends, for tax and legal reasons.
- Analytics data: 14 months, after which Google deletes it.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to have it transferred to you or another organisation. Where we rely on your consent (analytics), you can withdraw it at any time using . To use any of these rights, email Email us.
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
Our websites are intended for businesses and adults, not for children.
